A book launch at the wonderful Gone Fishing Gallery at Church Point opposite Scotland Island was a perfect way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon
The book, "Michèle and Nathalie's Kitchen - A journey into the world of Couscous, Quiches and Paella", is the culmination of a life-long dream for my sister-in-law, Nathalie who wrote the book with her business partner, Michèle
My sister Amanda, the beautiful solo flautist captivated the crowd ....
....as they mingled around artworks by local painters, potters, jewellers, photographers and illustrators
The idyllic location; the welcome warm-afternoon sun; the happy chatter of family and friends; the perfectly chilled glass or two of local white wine; the sumptuous food - a sample of what we can expect in the pages of the cookbook - made this one of those really happy days which reminded me of a couple of things....
....how good it is to be alive...
....and how lucky we are to live in this part of the world
This is the stuff of life!

ReplyDeleteThank you - it was a special day. F x
ReplyDeleteI love this gallery and especially the paddles installation....and living in Spain, i should have a look at this cookbook and the paella section!
ReplyDeleteFrancesca, about drying tomatoes and the flies problem...you can always put a structure on top with another grid (with a finer mesh so that flies don't enter), making sure it also goes on the sides. But then, it's more work...Hope you try it all the same and thank you for visiting my little corner! :-)

Thank you LaLa - will find some fine mesh and keep you posted.
