They always find a way,
A way to make their presence felt.
They push through
They climb
They clamber
They hang
They hover
Like a mischievous child peering through the safety of parental legs
At first shy and reticent...
Until noticed...
And then it's all bravado
Reaching, stretching, creeping
Demanding attention.
Amazingly, they know how to show their very best
Know what frames them perfectly
Know just when to twist and turn and cascade
Creating patterns and colours designers can only dream of
Adding beauty to the drabbest of corners
Like a silent artist
They create masterpieces
Unexpected and seldom appreciated
Except by the few who stop and look
And savour these corners of the world
Corners of the world...
where the wild things grow!
...and they are always beautiful.. even if they are sometimes, unwanted.

ReplyDeleteThey really do complete the scene. Especially so with these old buildings. VERY nice photos!
