Doors which sing to me

I hear lyrical voices

Beckoning me down narrow stone pathways

Framed by gelato walls and garden escapees

Onwards, past fatigued stucco and crazed render

Alongside ancient portals and marbled balconies

Inviting me...

...to step into their world

Of leaning façades, Venetian lights and shades of yesterday

    1. Thank you Cat - it's such a beautiful part of the world - layers and layers of history recorded in its architecture. F xx

  3. Oh, I too, love doors -- and windows -- they evoke such fantasies of the imagination: who lives there, who lived there. . .the stories the doors and windows could tell.

    1. Thank you Jackie - I have always had a soft spot for Greek doors and windows - as you can probably tell. Did you photograph many on your trip? Would love to see them! F x
